MANAGEMENT AREAS:

a) To oversee and direct the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Afffairs.

b) On behalf of the Prime Minister, directly oversee and direct the following areas:

- Ethnic and religious affairs.

- The implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development, Sustainable Poverty Reduction, and Socio-economic Development in Ethnic and Mountainous Areas for 2026-2030 period.

- Directly overseeing science and technology; innovation, development of innovation ecosystem nationwide and abroad; digital transformation.

- Issues related to semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, etc.

- Natural resources and environment, climate change.

- Agriculture and rural development, new rural development, disaster prevention and control, search and rescue.

- Approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, expediting, and resolving difficulties and obstacles arising in investment projects within her assigned management areas.

c) To act as: Chairman of the National Council on Water Resources; Chairman of Viet Nam National Mekong Committee; Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the National Target Programs on New Rural Development, Sustainable Poverty Reduction, and Socio-economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2026–2030 period; Head of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Head of the National Steering Committee on Green Growth; Chairman of Councils and Committees within his assigned management areas.

d) To implement other tasks assigned, or authorized by the Prime Minister.
